For those of you on Twitter and Facebook, I announced that there would be a surprise Saturday sketch of concept art for a character you’ll soon be seeing. I finished it sooner than expected, otherwise I’d have announced it with the last Thursday strip. Any guesses as to who this might be?

Unfortunately, I probably won’t have any Velvy plushies done this month. Short on the ol’ cashola. But I will see about the coming months:) Hey, maybe for Christmas??
The strip this week, be it on time, will have no adjoining literary component. I have been sick for 5 days and this is all I could manage. Hope you enjoy the brewing tension!
1.) It is supposed to look like Alice is pulling at her hair in panel 3.
2.) I am aware David’s dialogue in panel 4 is a run-on sentence. That is his way of promptly removing himself from the scene. He really isn’t that interested in architecture, to my knowledge.
Although I don’t have the strip ready yet, here is another project I’d like to undertake and wanted to know if anyone would want to buy one.
I’ve been discussing this project with someone who has a shop on Etsy. She says he’s doable but the chest tuft may present a problem so I drew him without it to see if he’d still be “Velvy” enough.
The eerie blonde light would have been haunting, given their harrowing experience moments earlier, had it not been for the sound of tinkering coming from the final bend in the corridor — and the fact that the glow was quite familiar to them.
What met their eyes was the squatting form of Goldilocks busily picking away at what appeared to be a rather plain-looking sepulcher. Stunned at what appeared to be an act of grave-robbing on the part of one of their peers, the others could only stare in disbelief. Meanwhile, Goldie saw fit to mock them. In the background, subtle but becoming more relevant, drew other sounds to tickle at their awareness: scritchings, thumpings, creakings, and… Was that another voice?
Apologies for the unfinished strip but I JUST got back from an 8 day vacation. Fun! Anyway, the strip should be finished soon.
UPDATE:: It’s up and finished now. Hurray! The heroes have finally gone downstairs! I should be adding some more writing to the strips soon, once I get a bit more time.
