KILL SOPA/PIPA!
Just got wind of this today. If you don’t know what it is, please check it out. I’m not actively political but when something threatens my right to have a website up at my own discretion and tries to make judgment calls for me? I’d like to take a stand please. Maybe I should send Velvy the legislature-er’s way?…
I wonder if the major parties have realized their Websites could be taken down by a complaint? Or a movie company that is accused of pirating someone’s script? Would Warner Brothers, etc. like it if they lost their Web sites because of these acts?
I think there will be riots if this goes through, and politicians are well aware of that, It’d destroy a lot of commerce, and they’re not going to let that happen. I’m kind of taking it as a tactic to get scared consumers to consume “while they still can.”
mpaa thinks their loosing money to pirating when really their loosing it cause theyre behind the times and theaters are too expensive. personally even if they wiped out the net altogether id still never pay them a cent of my money again. I’m also sending them the bill for my month i have left of megavideo that i cant use now.
I for one will be joining the riots when they break out lol
