A Sketch In Time
For those of you curious how I do the strip, they start as a sketch done with the wacom tablet right on its own layer using Adobe CS5 as my program of choice. The above is the sketch for the next strip and I apologize that it is not up bright and early at 12 midnight, nor in the morning. It shall be finished very soon but this tired gargoyle really needs to sleep:( Sorry that it is not finished on time :*(
Um… Yeah. Obviously the last panel is unfinished. I’m still trying to decide whether the Schrodinger’s cat gag is worth it.
Definitely worth it.
soon as i saw just add cat i knew where this was going and face palmed.
if its any consolation, any cat in that box is dead, weather you look or not ^_^
Velvy applies a new and irrefutible quotient that denies life, so, yes, anything in there is dead, even living molecules/atoms LOL.
Any cat in the box is dead, because Schrodinger put it in there so long ago that it’s long since died of old age. ;) …I wonder if that makes the superimposed dead cat become a zombie cat?
Would a zombie cat live in a box with Velvy?
define “live”, this is a zombie were talking about >.>
Aaauuugggghhhh…..
Live (in this case): maintain animate state for ten minutes or more.
Hey it doesn’t matter to me as it’s nice to see how the process of this great webcomic is made. :D
I would use the bubble boy method to try to contain Velty, as at least then the others could see him.
Thanks:) I wonder if I’ll be forced to go to 1 day a week to maintain a schedule and the quality of the comic. Well, we’ll see. Thanks for the support, all of you:)
As for Velvy in a bubble, well, what you see would actually happen. It would fill with his gas, which would eat it and leak out. It will eventually collapse around him and disintegrate, like it does with the schrodinger’s cat box. The time lapse has to do with clean-up and set-up.
I would prefer stick figures and scribbles with barely legible font over loosing an update day personally, if i couldnt come home from a wed night at work to selkie and shards on thu id probably go nuts from stress, and monday ends the dreaded weekend deadzone for comic updates. that and the story would be snail paced x.x
that said, i can see where quality would be preferred especially for the creators, lowering the quality standards feels like betraying the creation. i know i would feel that way.
a 3 way pull, where you feel either you betray your fans, your creation, or yourself, not a fun dilemma to be sure
hehe bubble yay!! so my question is would the bubble have been the first test had we not been discussing it on the last comic? XD
i find the half done comic to be rather cute in a way, i like it as is, lord knows we dont need more tech babble anyway right? ^^
dw bout a little late, you do far better than alot of other comics, and you have a much better reason for being late than they do.
I think so. TB seemed to have it on his mind. Thanks for the comments on how the strip looks:)
Velvy might need a Ghostbuster containment grid to successfully restrain his goo. XD
Velvy 1, Quantum mechanics nil.
I think Velvy is the unknown in the Anti-Life Equation.
You guys are all awesome:) The strip should be finished tonight at the latest, unless I am waylayed by kiddos again.
Wow… I JUST realized this was a blog entry associated with the comic… I just posted a new blog entry but it appears below this, under the “Shards News” header pic. Sorry about that, guys. I wanted that news to be more visible.
i cant decide if you need a red bull or a nap but not both, thats a bad idea >.>
get some rest though alright?
