ch.3, pg.2: “Gotta Have A Montage”
Yup. Gotta have it! For those wondering what’s going on, each panel shows one story arc in which a shard was obtained. The first by David, second to Dorothy, third to Dorothy, fourth to David. Other heroes came with them but they each gained 2 shards a piece. So, what happened during those stories? If you really want to know, I will be holding a donation rally shortly. If I get enough donations, I’ll do an extra story at a time ;) How’s that for bribery! More details to follow when I am not swamped, hee hee!
Well, bribery from webcomic authors is hardly a new thing, but…
…Just how much will you want before you will do extra stories?
Well, we’ve received a grand total of $6 since the various donate buttons have been in effect so it’s going to be more than that. I might start the first one at the cost of webhosting and go from there. There are actually 4 separate stories and 4 chances for Donation Rallies. They are all good stories. Our reasoning behind the montage is simply to move the story a little faster for our online audience. One of our first rp sessions involved the barber and the Baa Baa Black Sheep, in panel 2.
Jade and I talked it over and we will most likely do a “extra page” for donations like most other comics do. Jade and I also talked about her doing an actual downloadable comic book with separate stories available to purchase for cheap cheap which is most likely the way we’re going to handle things.
We would expect each story to be approximately 25-40 pages long so a donation rally would take too long to get the required funds to warrant the extra work for Jade, it takes her a long time to get one of these stories done.
Also the comic books would probably be written for a more mature audience and may be up to R-rated whereas this comic is Pg-13. We’re still working on these ideas :).
Hmmm.. Rumplestiltskin, Baa Baa, Black Sheep, Little Bo Peep vs …Little Bo Peep?, and Pete’s Dragon?
Man, I Wanted to see the fight between Mary had a little lamb and little Bow Peep. The cotton would definitely fly then. And it makes me wonder how Dorthy would have solved the problem. :D
Nice idea to use the Giant of Jack and the Beanstalk with Rumplestiltskin. :D

Panel 1: Rumplestiltskin/Snow White. Heroes involved are Goldie, David, and Hanstel (and probably 1 other. Gotta look at my notes)
Panel 2: Barber of Seville/Baa Baa Black Sheep. Heroes involved that I know of are Dorothy and Humpty.
Panel 3: Bo Peep/Mary Had A Little Lamb. Yup. You guessed that one! Heroes involved are Dorothy and Cindy so far.
Panel 4: The Boy Who Cried Wolf/ … Well, let’s just say that’s not a mermaid ;) I’ll leave that one a surprise!
I may have a voting poll for that as well to see which arc you’d like me to do for the Donation Rally meant to get me to do extra strips;)
Ok, NOW I need to go get some money. I can skip textbooks for a few weeks, and I can wait ’til Christmas for Steam games to go on sale again, but Shards donation rally? TAKE MY MONEY! (As soon as I have any.)

In any case, I voted for Dorothy. I wanted to also vote for Alice, but when you forced me to pick, the shapeshifter + summoner won out.

This comic is great, I haven’t stopped reading since the first page! (Pulled an all-nighter just to catch up.) I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next.

We will be running something at SNAFU con. I’m hoping to have a very special non-shards related activity going on during the con, but we will also be doing a role-play during that time as well. I’m hoping that my new shards system will be up and running for when it happens!
