Hahaha, I love that Lion-Dorothy’s “barbarian cutoff top” is checkered. What a funny little touch!

    Thanks, smaller:)

Actually, the book and many versions of the Wizard of Oz have Dorothy wearing a blue and white checked dress. In the story, Glinda says the Munchkins know Dorothy is a good witch because she’s wearing the color of a witch (white, I assume) and also the color of the Munchkins (mentioned as blue). For our version of Dorothy, I wanted her to stand out a bit more so I made her dress blue and her blouse white instead of the checks. Both Lion-Dorothy and, as you’ll see for Thanksgiving, Scarecrow-Dorothy, wear the blue and white checks.

For this strip, it was hard trying to figure out how to draw the effect of Alice’s suit transforming from dress form to battle-mode. I think I did pretty good at showing the arm extention armor (it also appears on the legs a bit) and how that works but I still think there may be a better way to show the dress dividing as well as wrapping around Alice to make solid armor leggings that are also quite flexible. Dr. Muffet is a genius and the suit’s material, temporium, is really neat stuff.

My favorite panel is the last one, only because of Lion-Dorothy. Love it:) By the way, Lion-Dorothy’s original design was in the buff but people kept asking me if she was going to be published naked so I decided the final version would have clothes.

Alice’s battle suit still reminds me of Kingdom Hearts… And, uh-oh! Lion-Dorothy is gonna tear it up, now! It’ll be fun to see how she handles combat.

I vaguely remembered the checkered dress bit from the books, but didn’t want to actually say anything in case I was wrong. XD

    I can’t help thinking, “Tron-Alice?”
