You try to do something nice for some people. Still, this could be an important Shard to find, right ?
I have to admit that Goldie looks cute when she’s trying to be nice.
:) I agree that she looks cute! As for Cindy, she is being grateful but also the heroes follow their goals, whatever they may be. Cindy’s goal is to return to her prince and her story so if this is a breakthrough that will help get her there faster, she wants to take advantage of it.
Goldie is actually one who would prefer to stay the way she is and not repair the mirror fully, but obviously there must be _something_ she wants even more than that because she is still helping out and on the heroes’ side.
I don’t know how well anyone follows the story but earlier in this chapter, Goldie brought up a good point. She mentioned that once the mirror is repaired, everyone goes back to the way they were: https://56shards.com/2013/10/10/ch3p71/
In both strips, you can see Goldie’s skill in dodging topics ;P
There is a reason. It shall be revealed in the middle of Chapter 4, approximately:)
I will also mention again our theory that shard placement/alignment in the mirror has a hand in who generally associates with whom amongst the heroes. On opposite ends, you’d think Goldie and Cindy would despise each other. Clearly, they do not, however, this is not a gaff but a purposeful story point:) And it isn’t a full-blown hatred. Some characters are just more accepting than others and it doesn’t matter how far apart their shards are on the mirror — Velvy for instance loves everyone. Other times, the dislike is subtle and must be overcome by circumstances. It just makes it easier to socialize if their shards are closer/touching.
