ch.3, pg.95: “Sugar Punk Armor: Mark 1 “
This strip is blatantly copying the scenes in Iron Man I where Tony Stark is captive and constructing his first Iron Man suit (I believe it is called the Mark I, hence the title). I originally planned to do this strip about 5 weeks ago but could not seem to either find the screengrabs I wanted or couldn’t find the time to sit and scroll through the movie to do some quick sketches. What in the world is Gretel eating ?!?
I don’t think it can’t be good for her and her stomach. :(
In other words, I don’t think that she should be eating rh supplies. Isn’t anyone cooking anything to satisfy Gretel’s hunger pains ?
It looks like she is eating chocolate bars and discarding the aluminum foil for Hanstel to melt down and forge into armor.
Aluminum armor… that would probably be light weight but not super protective. Depends on hw thick it is, I never see Aluminum outside of foil wrap.
Most soft drink cans are aluminum. Those airplanes that fly overhead? Mostly aluminum. Some newer bridges? (Especially smaller ones like pedestrian bridges.) Aluminum sub-structures. Cars are being made with more and more aluminum parts. There’s probably more aluminum around you than you think…
The fact that it occurs in very thin forms may mean it’s stronger than you’d think… Also, who is that armor meant to be for? From the mask it doesn’t look like it would fit Hansel or Gretel…
Oh trust me, it fits Gretel:) They’ll make their debut in Chapter 4.
Marcus> a big pile of candy:) And they can totally take it. They are super-powered fairy tale characters. Dr. Muffet is still working to perfect the special food which keeps them from eating anything and everything in sight uncontrollably. They are, however, hopeless when it comes to candy.
Dave> Hm… I might correct that last panel then. Gretel is actually just eating a big pile of candy but its intended purpose is not strictly to be consumed.
