“A Pound Of Gruff”: Jack’s Journal, Pg. 3
Jack again, and a bit of action along with the exposition:) Next week will be either Humpty or Dorothy again.
Also, there will be a special sketch on Halloween so look for it!

Last week it was said that Jack got his own special power that he doesn’t want the others to know about. Now my question is do any of the heroes have special secret powers that they are keeping from each other ?
I had to look up this Shylock guy and I must ask if his creator, William Shakespeare will make an appearance in this series or will any other characters from Shakespeare’s play are in the world influenced by the shards too ?
Hi, Marcus:) Good questions! As far as we know, currently Jack is the only one, but I will say that there is a lot more to Jack that people will find out about in Ch. 5. A LOT. Although, as far as just plain secrets are concerned, every character probably has one and Goldie has the most… next to Dr. Muffet and Mother Goose *wink*
We hear at Shards love to put in as much of the real story as possible, right from the original source. A friend let me borrow a copy of The Merchant Of Venice from 1906:) Also watched the Pacino movie version. Though I don’t currently have plans for Bill Shakespeare to appear nor any of his others not in Merchant, you never know:) Gratanio and the others mentioned last strip are all characters prominent in the story. There is currently a single thing not a part of Merchant who will show up. More on it very soon but it was mentioned last strip as well: the dreaded “Red Cap”.
Does anyone get the double reference?
