“Three Heartstrings Of Gold” 1: Velvy’s Journal, Pg. 1
Welcome to the first page of “Three Heartstrings Of Gold”:) Velvy starts us off with his usual happy self. What story could be brewing? Any guesses?
On another note, I am starting to number the pages not just of the individual journals but also of the main story progression. So that’s why you’ll start to see them like this:
“Three Heartstrings Of Gold” 1: Velvy’s Journal, Pg. 1
“Three Heartstrings Of Gold” 2: Cinderella’s Journal, Pg. 1
“Three Heartstrings Of Gold” 3: Velvy’s Journal, Pg. 2
“Three Heartstrings Of Gold” 4: Cinderella’s Journal, Pg. 2
So this is a Velvy and Cinderella team-up ?
Interesting given how Cindy sees Veleteen and how she treats him despite his kind hearted demeanor.
Makes me wonder what this adventure would teach the two opposites sides and if they can be friends in some way.
It’s off to a good start as Velvy has some great things to say.
I always think Velvy’s lowercase “c”s are “e”s at first.
I spent a while wondering “why does he call it iek?” before I realized.
And now, a moment of silence for the pencil and paper, since they gave their lives in an attempt to be useful.
Seros> Lol, and, yes, I debated that with the font but it had the look I was going for:)
Marcus> Not just Velvy and Cindy:) Rarely are there two-man ventures when Mother Goose sends them after a shard. The time where David and Miss Muffet teamed up was a recon mission:) And Cindy has gotten used to Velvy. Don’t forget that she was trying to find a “cure” for his condition. They have so far learned quite a bit from each other:) I in fact had to confir with TB and make sure I was doing her dialogue justice. Changing a few things now, as Cindy’s journal is up next and I want to get her persona correct for future things ;)
Also, you may not get to see it but I put a lot of thought and effort into making the perfect background for the journals of each character and some, like Velvy’s , may actually change as the story progresses. I tried this out a tad with Jack’s journal. His text color shifted to a more intense red as the story wound to the conclusion. This was purposeful and linked to his mood:) There are lots of little things like that which go into SHARDS ;)
Oh, and my daughter took an interest in my work on this particular strip so I showed her how I used the burn tool. She asked if she could give it a go, so the extra burnt-ness of this Velvy journal comes courtesy of her:)
