Talking to yourself is said to be a sign of madness.
But don’t worry, it’s apparently not a problem unless you get a reply.
..Oh wait, Velvy does want a reply…
OK, I’m not sure where that fits in with the signs of madness.
I read somewhere that there are 4 stages of madness:
stage 1 – you talk to yourself (this is normal, don’t worry about it)
stage 2 – you answer yourself and it turns into a discussion (less common but can be useful when trying to solve a complicated problem)
stage 3 – the discussions turn into arguments (if this happens very often find a counselor or a psychiatrist)
stage 4 – you keep losing the arguments (oh, well….)
Then, thanks to a Frank and Earnest cartoon, I found out about….
stage 5 – you try to talk to yourself and get a recorded message: “I’m not in now. Please try again later.”
P.S. I’m not at stage 5. Really, I’m not. The message I get just says “voice mail full” and hangs up. ;-}}
Poor Velvy. I don’t know how Velvy will survive an experience like this now that he knows how his teammates feel about him and his ick.

Given that Velvy talks to inanimate objects and sometimes they talk back, his inner thoughts make sense.
