“Three Heartstrings Of Gold” 74: Velveteen’s Journal, Pg. 16
So it started, and so it must end… With Velveteen signing off on this chapter of Shards. Stop by Thursday for the title page of the new Shards Journal storyline. Any guesses as to what’s next? Here’s a hint: I showed you this character a while back but now the little guy is right on time for the upcoming holiday ;)
Now this is a touching ending for the adventure, and it was heartwarming to see Cindy hugging Velvy and for once not going crazy over his ick.
However, it seems like someone was missing in the group gathering at the end. I hope wherever she is that Goldie has a part in the next adventure.
I say this because she’s the only character to not have a major change since getting her shard and joining the team. What I mean is that I hope Goldie learns the value of being on a team and at least treating them with a little bit of respect as individuals.
I mean Mother Goose placed Goldie on the team for a reason, right ?
Never fear:) oGldie has a very special place on the team, to be revealed in Chapter 4: Black and White, which is why I am doing the journals to speed things along. In just under a year, I have gone through 1.5 journal stories, vs the 2-3 years it took to go through each Shards Chapter in comic strip form. There are planned two more Journal stories and then we jump into Chapter 4 and it all starts to hit the fan:)
We hope you are enjoying the journals so far. I love doing them but I know it is not the traditional comic book style with panels and more art.
Hey I LOVE these individual journals as they give readers a glimpse into the mind of the heroes in ways that Comics don’t often show.
Sometimes Telling can be a bit better than showing as it helps to fully get the feelings out before they overwhelm you into making a mistake.
