Hey, Beedoo! :) This new strip gives everyone a look at Mother Goose’s headquarters: the legendary Library of Alexandria. I’ve been doing research on the place and though they can’t really decide if it was Julius Caesar who accidentally destroyed it, historians believe it was burned down, which will come into play later. All heroes and Mother Goose and Dr. Muffet reside in the Library.
According to history, the library itself is made up of lecture/conference rooms, shared dining room, reading room, and exterior gardens where the scholars would wander around outside and teach as they walked. I’ve also added suites in which the characters of Shards reside. The library was located near the docks I believe but for Shards it is likely in a nexus accessed only by those who know how to use portals to enter other stories.
While I made up the interior design of Shards based on a composite of ancient drawings and studies of columns, the exterior was predominantly based on http://www.thekriegerteam.com/id67.html. I don’t know how accurate it is but it looked awesome:)
And, yes, I’m giving you a sneak peek of a new character. It’s about time I showed heroes on a single page:)
epic certainly not something i was expecting. that said i have a question about what kinds of villians we could be expecting will it be more of a Tsubasa reseviour chronicles type villian(evil people want the shards but getting the shards is a chaleng in and of itself so u have to pass a chalenge and then fight off bad guys) or will it be more like simply crazed story book characters?
Heather>Yes you are right, that is Humpty Dumpty! His prologue hasn’t happened yet but he is one of our important characters.
Hunetr>As for villains…well…not all people who have shards are going to be “bad” persay. We love grey areas >:)!
hunetr> Well, to further answer, most of the villains likely have the shard already but I’m sure there’s a story or two where the heroes don’t just get to pick it up. Funny, but I’m reminded of “Pirates of Dark Water”, the cartoon. Except we will try to avoid ENTIRELY the plot of having to sacrifice or somehow lose all those shards already collected only to make the series longer. It doesn’t need to be longer, trust me:) We got lots of material!
Ergh! I hate sounds like that! Looks like it’s giving someone else in the pic a splitting headache as well. Literally. ;p

Wow. The library looks really impressive! You did a great job recreating it.
I see Humpty in the background. And was that Jack?
