They are turning flesh and blood in chocolate, aren’t they?

Ana, I am sure that the chocolate statues are just that, statues, that people posed for. PAH! I couldn’t type that with a straight face.

I think Dorothy and Jack are the most level headed and most ‘Main Charactery’ out of them all. The others just seem sorta… ‘Comic Relief’…

All the heroes are main characters :)! Including the 4 that haven’t been introduced yet. Oh…the joys we will have soon.

Just wondering, are all the main characters caucasian, or might we be seeing the cast “fleshed” out a bit, soon? (I don’t think Mr. Teeyore counts, being an animal and all.)

Most of our modern myths and fairy tales originate from European or American countries which is why most of the cast would be caucasian. There is only one “Human” character that would be considered of a different ethnicity than caucasian. He still “looks” caucasian when drawn though.

Many of our other characters are not humans, but are directly culturally influenced by other cultures (i.e. the Chinese White Rabbit or Mr. Teeyore).

There is something that Dorothy might not have considered. Isn’t a building made of chocolate seem suspicious to everybody in the first place?

This page gave me The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe vibes.

Seros> Heh. I got vibes from “The Magician’s Nephew”, which I enjoyed just as much if not better than it’s brother, “The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe”. If you liked one, you may just like the other book:) I’d love for them to make THAT movie!

    Kyren> Mmmm… Chocolate Medusa… *Homer-esque drool mode initiated*

Ippi, on the chocolate castle> Not really. He’s a candy maker. And don’t forget that the Scarecrow is the one with the brains LOL!

smaller> I know TB answered you but I wanted to say that that’s an interesting point. TB’s right in that about half the people you see tend to not even be human (that includes heroes, villains, and side characters). One is told to write what they know but the lack of ethnicity is not due to choosing but because the origin of the characters so far seen hasn’t gone beyond Euro/Saxon/Celt/Nordic.

On a side note to that, when playing the characters in a roleplay session, TB as the gamemaster explained to the players that their characters all have basic knowledge. They’d know pretty much what we know due to the shard’s influence, no matter where they are from.

As a side note the point of making all the characters have a basic knowledge of this world and other fairy tales is because we wanted the characters to be able to solve puzzles without worrying about, “Would they know this?” Wouldn’t be able to set a story right, or find the things wrong with a story if they didn’t know the story in the first place!

I’m going to try to be PC, here, but I know I’m going to fail miserably. Don’t get all offended at me, because I’m not trying to be rude/racist, okay?

I kinda think Humpty’s design looks African American. It’s the whole big lips thing he’s rockin’. I even imagine him speaking with a sort of Southern drawl whenever I read the text.

Of course, it could be because he reminds me of one of the California Raisins…

No worries, Heather. Why the big lips on him? Well, a lot of pics had him that way and I think he’d look silly with a tiny mouth. Now, I dunno who TB hears when he has Humpty’s voice in his head but me? Personally, I hear Greedy Smurf (Hamilton Camp) with bits of Henry the Octopus (from the Wiggles) mixed in. It’s more like Greedy Smurf tho:) I know, bizarre! He’s an undead egg. His race is Egg LOL. Geez… You had to say California Raisins… Now I’ll always look at him and think that! LOL. Oh well, they’re technically undead, too. They should add him to their band >;P.

Interestingly enough, Fred Perry who does my favorite comic “Gold Digger” also got comments on using a predominantly caucasian cast. He actually got berated because he’s African American and didn’t put more into his comic book. Ya just can’t please anybody these days. I just prefer that old saying: “You can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you can’t please all of the people all of the time.” I believe Abraham Lincoln said it, but then I think I read that P. T. Barnum put in “fool” every place it said “please” so I’m not sure who to give true credit to LOL.

Wow, it’s been a bit since I added some historical insight. Sorry for the long wait, and that the promised fight scenes are taking so long. They ARE coming! Soon! Like in 2 strips!
