Hey, look! I can shade semi-anime-style! :) There is, admittedly, a lot of manga/anime influence in my artwork. Note the sweat drop and the anger pulse on White Rabbit in various panels. As for the Chinese characters in the last panel… White Rabbit is muttering to himself in Chinese, yes. What does it say? Well, I can tell you what it is supposed to say cuz that up there is as close to writing Chinese as I can get when I dun got no learnin’ except from tha interwebs:)
translation: “Stupid girl stopped the watch. Idiot. Now I must get help. She had to grab the watch. The Tortoise is smarter. The Red Queen won’t like this.”
Why the grand exit with a foreign language? You won’t be seeing White Rabbit for some time so this was my attempt to make him a bit more memorable and add a little more character. If I did my job right, you won’t need to know what he’s saying to get that to come across. That, and the previous thought bubble gives you the meat of it.
Oh, hah, I thought he was trying to read a manual for the watch that was unfortunately in Chinese. (I’ve bought gadgets before with no English manual, so I was commiserating.)
There once was a girl named Alice,
Who intended no one of malice;
I really don’t know, what made her go psycho,
But she’s tearing up the Red Queen’s palace!
