Honestly? I still haven’t found a specific “famous” gypsy in literature or at least someone anyone out there might recognize but I haven’t found one yet. The closest I can come to a reference for this was from an awesome Hallmark mini-series but I can’t tell you which because it leads to the next bit of the story sooner than I want you to be there.
Sometimes Jade and I talk about how cool it would be to make an animated series from this comic. We talk about voice actors and such, and we both always come back to wanting James Marsters for Jack lol.
The attack was recent, very recent. The carts are on fire, but nothing has burned to the ground. Possible survivor? Not likely since the sick @#$% killed the horse too. Not to mention there is blood still dripping from one of the dead. Hrmm, possible fight about to break out between our hero’s and whomever did this? :/
I know, I’m creepy cause dead bodies don’t bother me but a dead horse does. My handle is what I do for a living.
Well, that looks like a good reason to have wanted to get rid of the shard…
I like how you rendered this scene Jade, it’s very stark and cold. The gypsies were slaughtered… very grimm.
Even if it is a pun, it is a fitting choice of words. Yes, grim indeed.
Did not see that coming at all, but i do wonder what tale is this that has Gypsies within it pages ? :(

Esmerelda, from Hunchback of Notre Dame… ;)
And this just kinda takes me back to watching Buffy and Angel…

What about Esmerelda for “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”?
Or Kizzy fro Rumer Godden’s “The Diddakoi”?
One famous gypsy I can think of is the gypsy from The Snow Queen.
Didn’t mean to ignore you, Beedoo. Guess I’m a bit shaken up after today’s strip.
One mean world.
No worries. We are all struck to the core by this tragedy. ;p
