TB has corrected my interpretation of Velvy’s abilities and situation: Velvy’s disease aura kills things but when Velvy considers something an ally and that something has a shard the effect of the aura is not fatal. Usually just disgusting. This will become important later, as Velvy often sees many things as friendly and potential allies. The Candy Man for example was all nice and friendly at first and would not have been stricket to death by Velvy’s aura if they’d met, but as soon as the Candy Man was revealed to be an enemy and Velvy’s opinion altered, so would his aura’s effect. It’s a subconscious thing. Did I get all that right, TB?
Yes you are correct. Keep in mind that Velveteen’s opinions tend to change with those that he keeps closest to him. So no, spiking him into a wall wouldn’t change his opinion, spiking MUFFETT into a wall would :).
i briefly had the same thought, but the factors are friend AND shard, poor crumbly the turtle only had one factor, thus had to rely on his shell for protection, which had interesting results.
