Hm. War… Yes, in a way. A budding war with multiple factions who are soon to come to light in this next chapter:) It actually took a lot longer to get to here than initially thought and I feared Chapter 2 would be too short but filling in all the info that we might have told you in comments but not in the comic has alleviated that worry. Chapter 2 will close in three strips, maybe four if I feel the need to elaborate on the final tidbit. This little arc here has one other strip after it before moving on to the final set. Then the fun begins anew. Er… Fun for me. Not so much for our heroes…
Miss Muffet suffers from a dual nature, mentioned earlier in this chapter: she’s cute and innocent but has a creepy/scary side, drinks blood, and can’t always tell right from wrong. Dr. Muffet has his work cut out for himself. His sighing is, I believe, over that, and not for what he’s currently doing.
Oh, they have first names. If you look on the bio page for Dr. Muffet, you can see his first name is Thomas. In history, he was a real person. As for Miss Muffet… Well, that’s another story all together *grinz*
I always get worried when a character happily leaves in the middle of an explanation…
Reminds me of the trouble Shadowchild caused in the webcomic Digger due to incomplete explanations…
Klaatu, Barada, Ni*coughcoughhackcough*
Heh:)
I’m more thinking, Dr. Muffet knows how to get a child to stop bothering him.
Another difference between you and I as children – I’d have stayed for the explanation and asked additional questions.
(Says the man with Dr. Muffet for a DP.)
Aw, sometimes I do enjoy the cute moments between the doctor and his daughter. :D
Hee hee:) Yes, I would have stayed, too, but Miss Muffet unfortunately has the attention span of a fly and not a spider.
You’ll see more on shard dust soon:)
The Doctor seems preoccupied with something… hmmm… curious.
This cartoon is such fun, I sometimes forget that these are a people are war.
I suppose the Doctor doesn’t have that luxury. He’s kind of a Hugh Dowding figure.

It occurs to me neither Muffet has a first name… At least, none I remember hearing.
