ch.3, pg.68: “This Year’s Golden Glow Goes To…”
The eerie blonde light would have been haunting, given their harrowing experience moments earlier, had it not been for the sound of tinkering coming from the final bend in the corridor — and the fact that the glow was quite familiar to them.
What met their eyes was the squatting form of Goldilocks busily picking away at what appeared to be a rather plain-looking sepulcher. Stunned at what appeared to be an act of grave-robbing on the part of one of their peers, the others could only stare in disbelief. Meanwhile, Goldie saw fit to mock them. In the background, subtle but becoming more relevant, drew other sounds to tickle at their awareness: scritchings, thumpings, creakings, and… Was that another voice?
I know Goldie’s the gang thief and all,’but why wasn’t she there to help them when they needed her ? :(
She’s the type to see the three pig ghosts and know how to handle them and assume that the others should know and she shouldn’t be trifled with something so easy. She’s kind of a wanker.
Ha ha, oh Goldie.
I kinda like her for this scene, in that “jerk you love to hate” sort of way.
