Good 3 Pigs sketch
Yes, as suspected, the three little pigs have a part to play. Here is what they would normally look like in this Shards universe. Normally… Oooo, the intrigue!
POINT OF INTEREST: The Big Bad Wolf appears in many stories, including The Three Little Pigs, Red Riding Hood, Peter And The Wolf, and The Wolf And Seven Young Kids. He’s a very prominent bad guy. We at Shards just made him a bit more bad by combining a few of these stories and giving the wolf an upgrade or ten.
I’m not sure that I’d count the wolf in Prokofiev’s as the “Big Bad Wolf” from the fairy tales. For one thing, Prokofiev’s wolf *behaves like a wolf* throughout the story while the fairy tale Big Bad Wolf interacts with humans or animals somewhat like a combination of a Trickster god and a stereotypical mustache-twirling comic villain in a melodrama. (I’ve heard him likened to a forest version of Wile E. Coyote…without any of the “Super Genius”.)
Sorry, that should read “I’m not sure that I’d count the wolf in Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf as the “Big Bad Wolf†from the fairy tales.” with this link:

Interesting point! I pose that he potentially can be due to the fact that the wolf is big and bad even as an animal in the perspective of Peter in that it is a wild animal to be feared, and naturally it is bigger than Peter. I am familiar with the story, fondly remembering it from my childhood. No matter how big or small the wolf appeared when revealed, watching or reading Peter track the animal and imagining its size were just as much an impact on the magnitude of the “bad” wolf once he is finally encountered. True, it has no speaking part, but it is the “bad guy”. No twirling mustache included though.
In “Shards” we tend to combine many stories with a similar/same character into one single entity. Big Bad Wolf is just the most recent one you’ve seen. He encompasses even the aspects of the wolf in “Peter and the Wolf”, especially here where the heroes are tracking him just as Peter did. His presence is known/felt/experienced in the effect he has had on others, but we have yet to see BBW himself;)
