Jack in all his blazing glory:) I struggled with the last panel for days but finally got it how I wanted. I’ve never seen anyone do crispy word balloons so I thought I’d give it a try. And I know I said I wasn’t going to color Jack’s fire but I couldn’t resist giving him a red glow to really highlight him in the last panel.
We’ve come to the end of the prologues just in time for those of you who are going back to school. Whether starting college, going back to college, or elementary school for any younger readers out there; I just wanted to say good luck, keep at it, and have fun!
In all of his fiery glory. Jack is fastly becoming one of my favorite characters. Just so everyone knows, the old-time sport of candle jumping had a little caveat to it. The object wasn’t just to jump over the candle, but to jump over it WITHOUT extinguishing the flame. If you put out the flame with the wind caused by your jump it brought about bad luck.
