Marcus> Scarecrow/Scarecrow Dorothy is our resident “Brain” :) And if you want to know what they do in their spare time, there are little clues in their room. This blown-up jpg is from this strip. In it you see a brush and a photo belonging to Dorothy, a leash for Toto as well as two bowls off to the side, several cat toys and balls of yarn and a mouse doll for the Cowardly Lion, a wrench and oil for Tin Man, and a collection of paints and Sudoku book. Tin Man actually paints, always looking for more heart, and Scarecrow is into the puzzles and brain books. David likes to read in his spare time, though I am sure he has played chess with Dr. Muffet on many occasions as well. Cowardly Lion is a natural hunter and fighter and does spar… if he can find someone to spar with… which isn’t often. Toto actually is a very calm dog, ever watchful of his mistress. Since neither Velvy or Humpty sleep, they have a harder time not being bored. Velvy, actually, is never bored. He can literally talk to the walls. Humpty either relaxes and tries not to move while smoking his favorite pain relief or, more often, experiments in the kitchen. Cindy is never bored and will either clean out of habit or play with her animal friends — or Velvy now that they are also friends. Alice will train, study, chat… She’s pretty resourceful with her time and wants to get back to her story as badly as Cindy. Goldie… Well, she doesn’t tell me what she does in her spare time. Sometimes it is like she disappears all together. Hm. We may never know… Hanstel tinkers, naturally. Jack… Poor Jack gets bored often. His usual pursuits of drinking, smoking, gambling, pirating, and general hijinks don’t go over well with anyone so he often acts out. Though he hasn’t gained a new shard yet, he’s often alone fiddling with his powers, starting or stopping small fires outside the Library grounds, or staring out at the sea from the Library’s docks. So now ya know:)
