Interesting little clue of saying that the dead bodies do not stay in the morgue overnight. Especially when it comes to these murders. Who would take away recently dead bodies and why ?
Who would? Maybe the original person? That could mean the killer is a vampire. Cut the throat, drink the blood, gain the ‘life force’ needed for another year of ‘life’. And early in the morning the now ‘undead’ person wakes up and walks away.

While it has not been mentioned yet, I will say that exsanguination occurred visibly — there was blood all over — so probably no vamps in this one;)
I’ve been watching “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries” on Netflix. I’d highly recommend it.
