“Sweeney Toddler” 24: Miss Muffet’s Journal, Pg.5
Miss Muffet’s turn! And you get to see all that glitter, confetti, and Dorothy-heals!
Also, on a side note, I counted up all prior comic strips (317 actual strips — not counting holiday pics, SHARD Dusts, Chapter cover pages, and pin-ups) and currently 139 Journal entries for a grand total so far of 456 Shards posts that are pure story. The SHARD Dusts actually are canon but I wanted to see just with Journals and Strips how many I had created so far.
This leads to a new poll question :) See the right side bar!
Miss Muffet really does admire Alice doesn’t she ?
The ending of this journal entry is going to make Dorothy’s next journal entry seems more interesting since Scarecrow figured it out.
I wonder if Scarecrow will ask Alice to rewind time a bit to catch the culprit in the act ?
Oh yes:) She does indeed. It’s going to become an important relationship:)
Oh, and Alice, to my knowledge, is not powerful enough to affect time in a way to actually speed it up and slow it down. What she is actually doing is attuning herself and her fellows to the flow of time around her. The time aura technically works that way, despite what the characters say, unless the power upgrades or is amended some other way. Funny how perception works, huh? When she thinks she’s slowing people down, she is actually speeding herself up to the relative stream of the native environment. Technically, their current foe CAN affect time and has slowed the team down in relation to his world. THAT is their actual problem.
Also if Goldie is in the next adventure with the seven little men, then I’m al in for a new journal adventure.
I just really want to see Goldie’s take on her “teammates.”
Goldie actually appears in both the one going on during this journal set and the “seven little men” journal :)
Seems like Miss Muffet’s inner spider doesn’t want to eat Alice, which I assume is a good thing.
Also, she seems to be remarkably good at drawing…
Concerning new poll question, my preference is all of them all at once with three times as many updates than normal, but that doesn’t really seem at all realistic :P
Haha:) I hear ya! There are, however, a finite number of stories to SHARDS and it must be paced out. It is the only project I’ve ever worked on that has an actual end. Everything else seems to have near limitless sequel potential:)
As for Miss Muffet, yep. You got that right. Her “inner spider voice” knows by the smell most likely that Alice tastes… “icky”. Too many drugs/chemicals. Her blood really is tainted.
For the drawing, I debated having some of the journal drawings be more mental imprints and less “drawn-by-the-hero” drawings because I didn’t want it to look like I sucked at the artistic side of comics LOL. Anyway, so that is why Miss Muffet’s and Jack’s and Dorothy’s and even David’s look better than everyone else’s. Honestly, Goldie’s will probably look more like my style, too. On the other side of things, Alice, Humpty, Hanstel, Velvy, etc. have their own unique style that I like to let them show off when it is their turn:) I have been trying to come up with a way to explain how or why Miss Muffet “drawsw” sow good but have yet to solidify a satisfactory explanation.
