Yes, giving in to temptation is generally classed as a sin. In this particular case, however, we’ve seen how hard she’s been fighting this. Two observations:
1: Given that Muffet is able to at least track with time in this world, several years have now gone by for her. No wonder she’s starving!
2: Sweeny Whatever-Iteration may well exert other influences besides just time. He may well be pulling on her, even though she doesn’t realize it.
Given those, it is understandable from our perspective that she caved, although it may well take some explaining to the others.
1.) Actually the hat is a kind of nexus outside of any particular time. It’s why the body stayed so “fresh” LOL. It is very disorienting for the uninitiated, however, to be IN the hat. I liken it to Cloak’s cloak from the Marvel Universe… Minus the overall madness it instills.
