Dead Websites

I just found out yesterday that my art website, Jade Griffin’s Art Gala, is no longer accessible or even existent. Um, I have the whole thing always on my computer and saved any changes/updates there before uploading to the site — a trick I learned through bad events/losses from some free sites years ago. So, I may move it to Dreamhost.com, or I may simply just put stuff on DeviantArt. After 2 years, I never received a single art commission. Eh… I did put a lot of work into the site’s construction so I may put it up eventually but my high priority is keeping up with Shards, cranking out more fan art to help pimp Shards, looking at any potential cons, plus my daily life stuffs. Also, got a call for a job interview! In science! Yay! :) Never fear, I shall continue to do Shards, loyal fans, if in fact by some hope in this bad economy someone desires to hire an out-of-work creative scientist. So we’ll just see what we’ll see and not worry about it, k?

New voting incentive up! It’s the Candy Man in color this time. I love his gotee. Hee hee! Hope you like it. Also, there’s a new pic on the Characters section under Dorothy’s page. She’s seen in her full color Dorothy Conglomerate form! Soon I’ll be finished with each colored version and have an animated gif that will rotate between all four forms so you can see them all on one page.

Some links are being taken down for a little while as I try and entice more readers with clickables to less risque locales. Namely, I want to get a flier on the freebie table at San Diego Comicon. Can’t go myself this year (even now they are sold out!) but at least Shards can go! Yay! As long as the people in charge approve the site and the flier. Will keep you posted.

I’ve had some query on Jack and his lack of action. Well, it may be due to me still picking up really good action poses and putting action together, or due to his naturally aloof attitude when it comes to combat, but I’ll see what I can do:)

Milestone!!!

So over the last 8 months we’ve made fans, friends, progress. We’ve had ads jump up to as much as $10.00, and gotten as many as 500 hits in a day! Nothing big, but for us its a jaw dropping achievement. Our favorite milestones have been our first fan arts, our first commenter whom we’ve never met, and the plethora of humpty puns. Well another favorite milestone just happened. Dave, who draws the adorable webcomic Selkie has put us on his favorites list :). Its a Shards first to be popping up on another author’s webcomic list and we’re both flustered about it. It should also be noted that Dave’s comic started just a couple of months before ours…so we’re both the same age, AND neither of us miss updates :). If you haven’t checked out Selkie then you should!

Voting Incentives Start!

Along with some festive Valentine’s Day decor, I’ve started doing picture incentives on Top Webcomics! So whenever you vote for us, you’ll get to see new art! Yay! I may do them weekly but I don’t think I’m up for daily at this point;) Without further adieu, this week’s incentive is in color: Miss Muffet in “still human…”. Thank You, Fans!

Just wanted to thank all of you for reading. We are up to 80 Facebook likes. Just 20 more and you get a ton of bonus stuff on a character not yet revealed! We’re sure you’re going to love him so keep those Facebook likes a-comin’!
