Hmm.. I know not who he is, but I have some questions that may help narrow it down (for both me and others).
Is the “2012” ribbon part of the original character? (As opposed to Jade adding it.)
Was he originally an animal? The hair seems to suggest something like that…
Is he actually a baby?
I will only answer one question because its SUCH a good question. Only the actual Ribbon is part of the original baby’s character. The Ribbon would be on him in some way, shape, or form, but not necessarily have a 2012 on it :).
Alright this is fun :). And those are great questions, Wisknort. I’m not going to answer any of these questions directly because I don’t want to spoil the contest. I will give you our basic formula though and am going to repost this in the blog.
Formula = 2 well known stories from any culture mashed together in some way, shape, or form to create a strange chimera of a story. Sometimes it is merely 1 character mashed into 2, other times it’s 1 character in another’s story setting. In THIS case the character is 2-3 story figures (depending on what versions of the story you want to read) mashed into one. One of these characters has both a modern version and a version older than Dorothy.
Those are the only hints I’m going to give for now.
Remember we are looking for the FIRST perfect guess of this character’s name and it is a VERY SPECIFIC name which you will all giggle at :).
Hmmmm…. I just feel like its Sweedy Todd for some odd reason. The way the hair is designed under the hat with the white streak gave me that idea. The Story has been around since Dorthy but the look is a modern day look with Tim Burton’s Movie “Sweedy Todd”. The Deadly Barber Baby! X3 So my final answer is Sweedy Todd~
DING DING DING!!! Yup:) Sweeney Toddler it is! For someone who didn’t want the prize, ya sure scored! Go ahead and email me what you’d like for your commission:) Anything goes for subject matter! jade _ griffin @ hotmail.com
sent, hopefully to the right address too haha. dont forget to update the blog posts ^^, id feel bad for the ppl still guessing there.
was a fun game, i was at a complete loss circling through at least 20 ideas till i saw the word todd and face palmed. now that we know the name what faction is he with if any?
eh any guess is worth a try, i dont even want the prize lol. he is a time lord, who knows maybe they crossed that with father time or death, hes also got a title which is mentioned elsewhere.
the image clues that i cant solve are the hair hair and gloves they could just be decor but from what i can tell the powers are father time etc not the person, jsut like jack isnt the human torch
i think ppl are focusing on the wrong clues.
I love the Dr. Who guesses:) Nope. We can’t actually use too much of Dr. Who because it is copyrighted. We have to make it fall under the comedy clause or whatever it is called that allows comedians and others to use likenesses and names to make fun of but not directly make money off of or however that works.
Kotih brought up a point under the blog post and I’m reposting it here, with new clues!
Kotih> perhaps it is a little too difficult. No, I purposefully have never talked about this character before. I also did not name the file his true title just in case someone was smart enough to snag it from there. So here is another clue: The look of the character is important. The hair, gloves, and collar/ascott/scarf thingie are from an avenging character in a story older than Dorothy. The image of a baby, ribbon, and top hat are from the other story. The weapon shown is directly from the avenger’s story but modified slightly to reflect aspects of the baby’s storyline. The “title” I meant is not Count or Sir or that sort but the character’s full name. It is a play on words. If I give any more hints you’re sure to get it:)
Who’s the new kid ?
Is he going to be in any future stories ? :(
Ten cents says Baby New Year thought Senior Old Year was going to murder him and made a grab for the scythe. This next year’s gonna be a killer. ;)
Oh he’s actually coming up in a story we’re running over New Years. But no, Marcus, he’s not one of Mother Goose’s Heroes.

You were so close, Neko! Kotih got it right with Sweeney Toddler. A combo of Baby New Year and Sweeney Todd;)
All good guesses:) The correct name has not been uttered yet however;D
Uh Little boy blue?
just for the heck of it ill guess doctor who lol
I’m not the only one who got that idea… But, Doctor Who isn’t always seen with a ribbon, and also doesn’t have a heap of different origins.
