Muahahah! You are all very observant! There is no plot hole here, you’re just going to have to watch….and learn >:)!

The Shards have an influence on everything around them. These are all fairy tale, and myth characters and are limited by their own stories. A character with a shard has far more insight into their existence, including a knowledge of our reality.

Yes Little Miss Muffett’s shard directly influences Dr. Muffett when he touches it. Granting him some of that insight. Watch how he uses it :)!

Boy, we’ve got some perceptive fans! Fantastic! It actually made me rethink the next strip and add something I hadn’t planned initially but makes more sense now. Also, check out minor changes to Dr. Muffet’s character page. Thanks, you guys!

Very interesting. I don’t know where it’s all heading yet, but I’m enjoying the journey. I wonder what’s going to happen next?

I kinda giggled at the first panel. Dr. Muffet’s reaction to finding his daughter is priceless. He’s not totally freaked out over her condition, as one might expect. Instead, he looks only mildly concerned as he holds her mangled, limp form. “Oh, Muffin… You’re dead? Well…shoot. Oh well.” XD
