That’s a thought: why haven’t I seen hollow chocolate coffins for Halloween like they do with Easter bunnies? Maybe put a ghost Peep inside, or something.
Anywho, it will be interesting to see how Dorothy gets out of this mess. Nothing seemed to work against the chocomech so far. If Jack’s pyro powers were ineffective, and Hanstel couldn’t eat him, and he can counter any of Dorothy’s forms, the only thing coming to mind is a deus ex machina from left field. I guess we just have to wait and see.
Dave> hahahah:) That’s an awesome tangent. I actually didn’t consider that. Seen it many times:)
There’s a lot of background and inner workings that we think about and know an want to divulge about the strip and the story but we as well must wait and bide our time. All shall be revealed!
On my new computer, it is up and running and I am posting from it. The software that I was eagerly awaiting? Slight problem with it soon to be fixed I hope…
And… wow. Our daughter just saw TB’s Gravatar icon for his post, pointed to it, and said, “It’s Daddy!” Hee hee! That is so cute! Okay, that was my proud mother tangent LOL.
Wanted to add that we reveal what we can and try to answer all questions. Ask away! Just some can’t be answered yet as they reveal something pertinent in the strips to come. Wouldn’t want to spoil things… :)
Oh, and our daughter recognizes my non-human gravatar as me:) Eeee! So awesome!
dave, have you assumed she was a gargoyle because you are really selkie’s right eye? and before you ask, no, i am not a pink ‘E’, though i play one on the interweb.
Actually, based on the look of the eye, shape of it, and the direction of the eyebrow, I would guess it is indeed the right eye.
As for me being a gargoyle, heh:) My avatar is indeed a garg version of me in real life. For those not in the know, I am a huge Disney’s “Gargoyles” fan. There are tons of fans out there that I talk to daily. We’ve even started up yet another group on Facebook, have various chatrooms, etc., and talk to the creator frequently enough that he knows both my real name, OL name, and can point me out on the street:) It’s a great fandom, like a family reunion, every time I went to the con because I knew at least half the people there. So that’s why my avatar and the name Jade Griffin is what I use online almost exclusively:) Wanna know any more about that or the garg fandom, ask away! Gargoyles, by the way, taught me that I could draw anything if I set my mind to it. You can thank being in that fandom for helping with the making of the comic. That and TB’s support and overall foundation.
Unfortunately no. It ran from 1997 – 2009, 13 years. It was put on by the fans, for the fans, and we had a variety of guests, including the creator who appeared at every single con no matter if he was sick or whatever. It was the greatest con ever and I’m still sad to see it go. I’m so glad the OL community is still going strong:) It was the strongest impetus to have the cons– to meet each other. If you want to see us in action, and maybe catch a look at real-life me, on the Gargoyles Season 1 dvd special features, they have a short documentary on the Gathering and the fandom. We were the ones who got Disney to release the dvd so it was awesome that they recognized us enough to immortalize us. It was great, having the camera crew there for the whole con up in Montreal, Canada:) The con moved around every year. Pretty unique:)
Poor Toto, lets hope that he is okay in the end.
Time to whip out the big tin battleaxe and hope he can’t fit a magnet in there.
On a tangent, the flipped-up finger tip reminds me so much of Inspector Gadget that my inner voice for Candymech is now Don Adams.
HAH! Toto is fine, he’s just gonna need treats after this. Poor Dorothy is gonna have to pull out some magic to stop this thing.

You mean you’re NOT actually a gargoyle? My mind is blown!
dave, have you assumed she was a gargoyle because you are really selkie’s right eye? and before you ask, no, i am not a pink ‘E’, though i play one on the interweb.
That is most definitely selkie’s left eye, since I’m viewing it and I’m the only person that matters!

Dave> And of course I’m a gargoyle!
I’ve never bene to the Gathering, do they still run it?
