hmm maybe he should try something made out of turtle shell, i recal him not melting turtle shells in the prologue, though that could just be a mater of timed exposure.

Nope! Dr. Muffett has a shard and is considered a friend to Velveteen. Velveteen can not, under any circumstances, hurt his friends if they have shards. Its subconscious control and the shards provide enough protection to their owners to prevent the damage. Its just gross.

Very true, and it will probably be brought up in the next few strips. We tend to tell you guys a lot and try not to forget putting it in strips, in case this gets published. No one publishes comments for story content, to my knowledge. So Dr. Muffet is trying to contain the aura but, no, it isn’t really hurting him. The characters don’t really show it but it probably makes them feel sick, or at least grossed out. And poor Velvy only wants love… ;)

I wonder… If someone voluntarily loved Velvy would it repel his biogunk?

Also I wonder, what was containment method 42 and why didn’t it work? Does Mother Goose have an implausibility drive?
