    The first few strips for Shards are comprised of prologues. They are a way to get in some backstory and show the readers what each of the characters were like before the mirror shattered.

    This first prologue shows the origins of Hansel and Gretel, who become known collectively as “Hanstel” in the comic.

    My husband, who is not an artist, helped do some of the art for this strip. I’ll be nice and not point out what he contributed ;P. I love you, TB!
