One would think that maybe Goldie would put aside her pride And ego and let Alice into this interesting conversation due to her close relationship with Miss Muffet and also because of the fact that she too is searching for the REAL NAME of Miss Muffet as well.
I mean these are the type of questions that would make her a tad curious as well. Right ?
Actually, Goldie sees Miss Muffet as a way to get answers about Dr. Muffet. She has no interest in befriending or helping Miss Muffet, nor finding her real name. Muffin is something completely different, heh. ;)
I was thinking “The ‘whey’ the curds crumble”, got into “The ‘whey’ the ball bounces”, “The ‘whey’ the cookie crumbles”, and “The ‘whey’ the Muffet crumbles”…. but if anyone is about to crumble here Muffet is NOT the one who is it. It anyone can make Goldie crumble, Muffet, just now, is the best bet we’ve seen. Time will tell….

Goldie looks all sly in Panel 2, 4, and 6, but look how confused she is in the last one. Doesn’t know as much as she thinks lol
