I have no idea what happened but my computer crashed big-time. TB knows how to fix things like that so it is better now, but this is why the voting incentive is late. Trying to bring my printer/scanner, wacom tablet, and computer to speaking terms again. And of course I need them to work together so I can produce the comic! So, onward, and hoping the installs are painless:)
Hi, Shards readers! We few, we happy few! Heh:) Well, after some consideration, I’ve decided it’s time to pull the plug on this farce. We will not be doing Shards anymore.

I did the three cartoony kitties at the bottom. They were all kittens I had at one time so I entered them in the contest:)

So we’ve introduced a new character a little early — in the St. Patrick’s Day strip. The infamous Cinderella makes her appearance! Also, the legendary David arrives on-scene. Yes, it is the David of David-and-Goliath fame but you may not realize that his story is much bigger than that and that he spans multiple religions and is a legend in many cultures; including Jewish, Christian, and Islamic beliefs.
I understand it might be a little risky adding in a character to Shards with such strong ties to prominant cultures around the world but our version of David in no way exemplifies or puts down any of the others. We actually rebuild him as the boy-man and leader that he was believed to be, with flaws like anyone else. Just because God picked him out doesn’t mean he was perfect ;) Perfect people are no fun in stories anyway. So please be kind and don’t throw a fuss. We hope you’ll follow along as we add more characters– not just those of fiction and rhyme but of legendary note as well.

Ahhh, a new character makes her appearance! Who could she be? Hm… More on her at another time! Strips like today’s for St. Patrick’s Day that aren’t pin-ups I’m categorizing under “Holiday/Side Story” because I like to show what the Shards cast is doing when not on a shard-collecting mission.
This week’s incentive is concept art of Tin Dorothy. This picture is special because, after drawing it, I realized my husband was right and I could probably pull off a webcomic that I could be proud of:)
Had my job interview today. Seemed to go well:) Today’s strip was a little slow in coming due to my daughter still being clingy and not 100% well so if anyone noticed, I wanted to say it wasn’t because I may be getting a job. Not sure exactly what the future holds but you are still getting 2 strips a week plus incentives.
Speaking of incentives, I’ve got one up this week that’s all Alice. Some of the upcoming incentives will be concept art because I’ve been wanting to show you what the Shards cast originally looked like when I did the very first designs in 2007. Thank GOODNESS we changed Jack’s design before we introduced him! LOL. (Oh, and all incentives will eventually end up under concept art.) All of the Shards characters have gone through some revision, some of them heavily and others just a little thing. Noticeably, Alice’s front changed a bit: the watch instead of the two buttons seen on her character page that I actually still have to swap out LOL. A new character is about to appear and, after having a friend over who is more an expert on him than me, she recommended he have a harp with him. He currently carries a staff. Now TB wants the staff gone instead of him having both. I get it. Scarecrow Dorothy has a staff, too, if you’ll look on the most recent strips (the staff is actually the vertical pole used to hold Scarecrow up). Two characters with staffs/staves are redundant in a way. Besides, the new character is more of a ranged fighter/bolstering person. Any guesses on who he might be?
